What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Firstly from the beginning of the course we had a limit on the amount of computers available for our usage, so we had to take turns or look around for a computer in a different location this frustrated me as it was not easy to get the work done when I planned to, however after weeks of waiting we got new laptops which made it alot easier to get going on the task and use up the lessons wisely.
As I done all of the work on Microsoft publisher I picked up how to use it very quickly, its not a very technical programme to use but does require patience and anticipation. It was a great programme to choose to make my magazine and has lots of fonts, colours and sizes to pick from.
Making this magazine was the first time I have used dafont.com, I found that it was easy to use and there were so many great fonts to choose from. I searched for fonts that related to music and that's where I found the my mastheads font. The font suits the genre of my magazine perfectly and I will be using this site for similar tasks in the future.
This was also the first time I have ever used photoshop elements, it is more advanced than the photoshops I have used in the past but was good for what i needed it for.
For my double page spread I took photographs of my brother in an outfit and had to edit them so he was no longer in the outfit and the background was plain white. This allows the focus to be completely on the clothes instead of the person modelling them.
